The "NY Hustle Congress", now in it's 12th year, is presented by Ballroom and Disco Diva, Lori Brizzi, the premier partner dance promoter in New York City. Lori has been actively keeping hustle dancing 'Staying Alive' for more than 21 years. Her events include "Millennium Dance Jam Parties", "The NY Hustle Congress", "The NJ Hustle Congress" and the legendary "Monday Night Hustle Jam" parties held at '412' (Little Dreams Event Space). Always the innovator, Lori has recently launched "Friday Night Hustle Parties" at The Loft on Long Island.
This dance spectacular offers local and visiting dancers exciting opportunities to enjoy disco hustle dancing in various venues in the city that never sleeps. Hundreds of participants are expected for five days and evenings of non-stop dance parties on Thursday, July 27 through Monday, July 31, 2023. There will be competitions for those who like to challenge their skills on the dance floor in a Team Challenge, Jack and Jills Hustle contests (random partner/random song) and Pro/Am divisions in Hustle, Salsa, WC Swing and Bachata. Additional contests include the Professional Just Hustle Competition, Professional Triple Threat Competition, Open Professional Showcase divisions and Hustle Battles.
The ‘Circle of Love’ charity activity is where dancers can take their turn dancing with the top professional dancers as they rotate around the circle, all while benefiting a good cause. It is always a unique and favorite experience. The recipient of this year's Circle of Love donations is Dancing Classrooms' Jack T. Moy Memorial Fund. Jack was a beloved member of our community and his legacy lives on in all of us.
Come see our professional couples compete on Friday and Saturday evenings. Social dance 'til the wee hours for 5 amazing evenings of Hustle dancing in the historic city where it was created and continues to evolve.
On Sunday, we dance under the sky and stars at Sunset Hustle. On Monday, we close out the event with our Monday Night Hustle Jam at '412' (Little Dreams Event Space).
