The "NY Hustle Congress", now in its 13th year, is presented by the Disco Diva, Lori Brizzi, the premier partner dance promoter in New York City. Lori has been actively keeping hustle dancing 'Staying Alive' for more than 22 years. Her events include "Millennium Dance Jam Parties", "The NY Hustle Congress", "The NJ Hustle Congress" and the legendary "Monday Night Hustle Jam" parties.
This dance spectacular offers local and visiting dancers exciting opportunities to enjoy disco hustle dancing in various venues in the city that never sleeps. Hundreds of participants are expected for six days of non-stop dance parties from Wednesday, July 24 to Monday, July 29, 2024. There will be competitions for those who like to challenge their skills on the dance floor in Jack and Jills Hustle contests (random partner/random song), including Pro/Am Jack and Jill. We are also bringing back our Surprise Jack and Jill and adding a few new ones...Turn the Beat Around and Switch it Up. This year, we are adding a Bookends contest (same-gender partners) and a team entry called Team Trio (one leader/two followers).
Additional contests include the Professional Just Hustle Competition, Open Professional Showcase, Team Performance (any style) and a new and exciting version of a Team Challenge.
The ‘Circle of Love’ charity activity is where dancers can take their turn dancing with the top professional dancers as they rotate around the circle, all while benefiting a good cause. It is always a unique and favorite experience. This year's Circle of Love collection will be for a scholarship for New Gen Hustle dancers.
Come see our professional couples compete on Friday and Saturday evenings. Social dance 'til the wee hours for 6 amazing days of Hustle dancing in the historic city where Hustle was created and continues to evolve.
On Sunday, we are bringing back our very popular 'Twirl Around Manhattan' Boat Ride. Visit Lady Liberty with sun, selfies and dancing!
On Monday, we close out the event with our Neon Glow Party as part of our legendary Monday Night Hustle Jam at '412' (Little Dreams Event Space).
